MovaBase provides comprehensive profile and account management features, allowing you to customize your experience, manage security, and control your account settings. This guide covers all aspects of personal account management.

The profile and account settings allow you to:
- Update Personal Information: Change your name, email, and profile picture
- Manage Security: Control account access and authentication settings
- Configure Preferences: Set your notification and display preferences
- OAuth Connections: Manage connected Google account
- Account Actions: Delete your account or manage sessions
- Session Management: View and manage active login sessions
Your profile settings are tied to your Google account since MovaBase uses Google-only authentication. Changes to your Google profile will automatically sync with MovaBase.
Personal Information
Profile Picture
Customize your profile picture that appears across the application:
Access Profile Settings
Navigate to your profile page:
- Click on your profile picture or name
- Select "Profile" from the menu
- You'll be redirected to the profile settings page
Update Profile Picture
Change your profile picture:
- Click on your current profile picture
- Upload a new image from your device
- Choose from recent uploads or take a new photo
- The picture updates automatically across MovaBase
Profile pictures are imported from your Google account. You can update your profile picture in Google, and it will sync automatically to MovaBase.
Remove Profile Picture
Remove or reset your profile picture:
- Click "Remove" on your profile picture
- Confirm the removal when prompted
- Your profile will revert to the default avatar
- Changes apply immediately

Deleting Your Account
Permanently delete your MovaBase account and all associated data:
Access Account Settings
Navigate to account deletion option:
- Go to your profile page

Initiate Account Deletion
Start the deletion process:
- Click "Delete Account" button
- Read the warning message carefully
- Understand what will be deleted
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your organizations, projects, and translations will be permanently removed.
Confirm Deletion
Confirm you want to delete your account:
- Type your email address to confirm
- Type "DELETE" to confirm
- Review what will be lost
Data That Will Be Deleted:
- All organizations you own or belong to
- All projects within those organizations
- All translations and file configurations
- Team memberships and invitations
- API keys and integrations
- Profile information and preferences
Once deleted, there is no recovery process. Make sure to export any important data before deleting your account.
Final Confirmation
Complete the deletion process:
- Final confirmation dialog appears
- Click final "Delete Account" button
- Account is permanently deleted
- You're redirected to the home page
- Google OAuth connection is revoked
After account deletion, you'll need to create a new Google account if you want to use MovaBase again in the future.
